Scope of the Role

This finance position will serve as a key individual contributor supporting the commercial sales needs of our Medical businesses.  This position reports directly to the Sr. Finance Manager, Commercial Finance & Pricing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for supporting the Medical Commercial Sales Teams and Division Leads including sales and financial reporting and analysis, pricing support, forecasting, and contract management.  Will act as liaison between corporate office and the geographically dispersed sales team, as well as the 20 manufacturing sites as it relates to sales performance, pricing, material cost tracking, and commercial decisions.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leverage data analytics tools to deliver routine and ad hoc sales performance, pricing, material cost, profitability, and pipeline reporting and analysis

  • Learn and develop new tools using advanced MS Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to drive sales analysis and insights

  • Implement algorithms to solve problems, automate reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement

  • Drive the routine sales planning and forecasting processes

  • Develop financial models to support negotiations, quote development, and price changes

  • Develop a process to centralize and track all customer contracts and agreements, manage key commercial requirements, and contract-based pricing

  • Perform reviews of customer contracts, agreements or T&Cs to support negotiations

     

Qualifications

Key Skills and Attributes

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, management information systems or related field.  MBA would also be preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance is preferred 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with commercial/supply contracts or agreements. Must have in depth experience performing contract reviews, red-lining, managing multiple rounds of revisions, coordinating reviews between sales, finance, legal, etc.

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis expertise is required

  • Experience in Finance using Power BI, Power Query, and/or MS Access or willingness to learn these tools through self study

  • Excellent phone skills, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills are a must, as well as willingness to accept and task ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment.

  • Additional requirements include a working knowledge of MS Word, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task with moderate supervision. Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
