Department Profile

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.

The Policy and Governance team within Wealth Management Technology (WMT) is responsible for providing knowledgeable responses to data/audit/regulatory queries, ensuring appropriate control compliance, supporting services and analysis/reporting across all WMT Risk topics.

Position Overview

• The Wealth Management Technology Policy & Governance Analyst Role is a highly visible/critical role, which will be leveraged to conduct the business of managing the various aspects of Policy and Governance. #LI-SK1

The Right candidate: • Manage all aspects of Morgan Stanley ETRADE Policy and Governance • Detail oriented with the ability to manage Policy and Governance work effectively • Ability to identify potential Risks and Exposures
• Proactively work with the Wealth Management Technology Policy & Governance (WMTPG) in executing Policy Analysis, creating executive summaries, and coordinating execution of follow-up activities. • Responsible for maintaining clear, concise, and timely communications with WMTPG partners such as the Technology & Operations Risk, Enterprise Technology Services and others.
• Responsible for the day-to-day running of WMTPG activities including ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities • Responsible for leading day-today activities for designated Morgan Stanley Entity/Division designated and help to be a Subject Matter Expert in the space (e.g., E
TRADE, Shareworks, Reliability Operations) • Proactively working with the Technology Tooling Development teams to align tooling with policy requirements.

Experience: 4 years

Primary skills

• Ability to manage the program work, direct team resources and deliver the roadmap on time • Skilled at building consensus and negotiating solutions • In-depth knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Office Products • Understanding of the Information Technology Risk landscape • Experience in and hands-on tracking of programs/events • Basic understanding of the Windows environment • Proven ability to act and deliver under pressure • Hands-on experience managing meetings and other result-oriented activities • Experience creating presentation and summary documents • Excellent communication and writing skills • BS or equivalent, preferably in quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, Math, Physics)

Secondary Skills

• 4 years experience in Banking and/or Financial Services • Ability to think creatively, proactively, and independently (meeting facilitation, reporting, managing sensitive data and reporting to senior management) • Proficient knowledge of ITIL including but not limited to Availability Management, Service Continuity Management and Change Management • Strong interpersonal skills • Work with Senior Team members and Program Management team to define strategy • Ensure all Technology and Information Risk guidelines are followed • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at the highest level of quality • Be self-motivated, flexible, highly adaptable and an excellent team player, and be prepared to work with a multiple locations virtual team.
