Your role at Clorox:

The role is responsible for assisting with the contract life cycle, including changes, modifications, and carrying out performance clauses, such as incentives and remedies. This involves helping to negotiate contract terms, conditions, modifications, incentives, and remedies, while collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure their requirements and Clorox standards are met. Additionally, this position assists with the contract execution process, resolves problems, mitigates delays, supports audits, mediates disputes, and raises issues as needed.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT, and functional stakeholders—such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Product Supply, R&D—and suppliers to negotiate and complete agreements (e.g., MSA, MTSA, DPA, etc) and statements of work (SOWs) by using Clorox templates.

  • Use the Clorox playbook to negotiate alternative language and fallback positions with suppliers. Partner with Legal for guidance and approval during negotiations and before agreement signatures.

  • Complete required documentation—legal intake requests, contract coversheets, etc.—and maintain the contract management database, which contains all executed contracts as well as contracts under development but not yet active.

  • Collaborate with all teams (Security, Compliance, Tax, HR, Accounts Payable, etc.) to ensure that vendors are performing in accordance with existing requirements and regulatory obligations.

  • Contribute to the knowledge base of negotiating strategies, best practices, and negotiation personnel and teams. Make improvements to processes, procedures, and workflows for contract management.

What we look for:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years experience negotiating and handling contract life cycles

  • Experience handling large, complex contracts in one or more categories (Professional Services, HR, Marketing, R&D, Real State, MRO, Facilities)

  • Experience using and maintaining contracts in the system

  • Strong project management, communication, and time management skills.

  • Experience working with all key departments (Security, Compliance, Finance, Tax, AP, Legal, and Procurement) and knowledge of procurement and vendor management practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: BA/BS in a technical field from an accredited institution.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of technology risk management, including cybersecurity, PII/confidential data, and familiarity with relevant regulations.

  • Experience: Background in Sourcing, Project Management, Operations, R&D, Business Development, or Law, with hands-on experience in product development and innovation.

  • Knowledge of CPG product development and launch processes.

  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication to clearly articulate complex situations.

  • Ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and collaborate across all organizational levels.

  • Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking abilities, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Initiative and curiosity to learn new skills and continuously improve processes.

Workplace type:

Hybrid role - three days a week in the office, two days working from home.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
