Your role at Clorox:

The Sr. Transportation Manager is responsible for the transportation operations within a given North American geographic region, managing a transportation spend exceeding $50M. Critical responsibilities include daily operations oversight as well as the development and execution of short- and long-term transportation strategies that will deliver optimal service and cost balance to support the business. The role will develop and actively lead a carrier portfolio and leverage critical truckload and intermodal transportation carrier relationships to deliver short and long-term business objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead efforts for continuous service level improvements, engaging all involved parties (internal and external).

  • Fully own truckload and Intermodal transportation costs for assigned geographic region. Proactively address cost drivers and boldly eliminate variances and drive out waste to deliver value-creation.

  • Provide direction and oversight to 3PL partners running daily freight execution.

  • Collaborate across the supply chain and the business teams on strategic projects, providing transportation insights, subject matter expertise, and transportation solutions.

  • Work cross-functionally to minimize service disruptions and ensure successful supply chains are established and maintained.

  • Stay on top of industry/market conditions and trends and leverage industry resources and knowledge to provide insight, identify best practices and new technology to improve results.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of transportation experience preferred, with a focus on strategic operations

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain management

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems, including SAP

  • Proven expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) required

  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with 3rd party freight vendors

  • Deep functional experience with TMS platforms to streamline logistics operations

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and driving initiatives from concept to execution

  • Extensive experience in managing carrier, customer, or supplier relationships, including advanced negotiation techniques and performance management

  • Expertise in developing and managing forecasts, budgets, and executing operations in alignment with financial targets

  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organizational boundaries

  • Proven ability to track, monitor, and report key performance metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and process optimization

  • Familiarity with Power BI preferred for data analysis and reporting

  • Ability to travel 5-10% to support operational needs

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
