Merchandiser - North Central, PA - 163495

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Purpose: Partner with assigned customers to provide quality service efficiently while achieving maximum sales and keeping cost controlled.

Job Responsibilities: * Timely travel from account to account for new store openings, resets, stocking and rotating product. * Responsible for effectively displaying store products. * Responsible for maintaining effective business relationships with customers. * Process merchandise returns and issue credits according to company policy. * Ensure the neat and orderly appearance of UNFI products. * Assist in hanging shelf tags. * Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location. * Follow through on customer product requests. * Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. * Attend meetings as required. * Provides backup for other merchandisers or sales reps when needed. * Responsible for other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: Education/Certification: * Valid driver's license necessary * Auto insurance levels that meet state requirements

Experience: * Prior customer service experience in a retail setting

Skills/Abilities: * Excellent customer service skills * Good communication skills * Time management skills and attention to detail * Basic math abilities * Ability to work independently

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS: * Some travel may be required * Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment * Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal * While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. * Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday * Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
