Job Title: Carpenter Foreman
Job Description
As a Carpenter Foreman, you will work under the direct supervision of site superintendents and be regularly monitored by ownership. You will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand and power tools. Your work will include interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Note that employees will not be operating any type of equipment, driving vehicles, or handling money. All job sites are uninhabited structures.
Responsibilities
Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.
Utilize carpenter's hand and power tools for various tasks.
Perform demolition, finish carpentry, rough carpentry, siding, casework/cabinetry installation, doors and hardware, and interior finishing details.
Adhere to building codes and standard methods, materials, practices, principles, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade.
Read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Install materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.
Inspect products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Plan ahead and organize job site materials and activities.
Manage resources and time efficiently to control costs.
Promote safety by adhering to relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies on the job site.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of building codes and carpentry trade methods.
Critical thinking for identifying strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
Ability to read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Installation of materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.
Proficiency in mathematics for accurate measurement and calculation.
Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and tools.
Planning and organization skills for job site management.
Quality control inspection skills.
Resource and time management skills.
Safety knowledge for promoting and ensuring job site protection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in drywall, finish carpentry, framing, and commercial construction.
Knowledge in trim carpentry, rough carpentry, and door installation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altoona, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00
