Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a part-time Environmental Scientist in Amarillio, TX.

The candidate will perform duties as a team member in the Environmental Compliance Department; providing specialty job knowledge and experience to support the development of compliance strategies and written reports. Provide team input to ensure strict compliance with permits, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, and Federal and State regulations.

Cross train and conduct walk downs with other environmental professionals in the field and across the industrial areas to support final recommendations of a highly technical nature within a range of environmental science specialties.

Employ significant professional experience, education, and specialized training across multiple environmental science disciplines to lead or support other subject matter experts and ensure monitoring, analysis, and recording of monitoring data by technical and sampling organizations meet data quality objectives.

Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office software to support excellence in written and verbal stakeholder communications and reporting.

Support National Environmental Policy Act review of projects and actions to ensure compliance with Pantex Plant goals, DOE Orders and Policies, and state and federal regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 5-9 years of experience.

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
