Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Amelia, Ohio, United States. This role is crucial in our operations, focusing on the procurement of raw materials, management of production schedules, and development of supplier relationships. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments, oversee inventory management, analyze market trends, and support the customer service team.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to procure raw materials

• Schedule and manage production to ensure products are delivered on time

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains

• Collaborate with other departments to forecast needs and adjust orders accordingly

• Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels without overproduction

• Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings

• Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents

• Resolve any issues related to purchase orders or supply contracts

• Support the customer service team by addressing any issues related to order fulfillment

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and Microsoft Excel to manage buying processes and production schedules.

Skills

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and Microsoft Excel

• Experience as a Buyer and understanding of Buying Processes

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Ability to Negotiate Pricing

• Knowledge of Production Schedules

Requirements

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Prior experience in a Buyer role

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Ability to Negotiate Pricing effectively

• Experience in managing Production Schedules

• Manufacturing experience is required
