Aerotek General Production Worker in AMERICAN CANYON, California

Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Primary responsibility will be assisting with the roasting of the chilies, specifically bell peppers for this round. This project will last about 6 weeks.

Food production experience is a must-have. Candidates will be standing the whole shift and working around bell peppers. Though bell peppers are not as spicy, the smell can still be strong when roasting. Production workers will be taking the stems out of roasted peppers while keeping the meat intact. This is a standing job with limited overtime, but flexibility for Saturdays is required.

These individuals will work on production lines and at tables, performing various tasks such as:

  • Stuffing jars with olives, pepperoncini, and other vegetables

  • Monitoring jars to ensure they remain upright

  • Using a mop or squeegee to move liquid off the floor

  • Loading jars onto the production line

  • Removing filled/capped jars and placing them in boxes

  • Replenishing materials to keep production going, such as lids, labels, and glass.

1st Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in AMERICAN CANYON, California.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced food production facility where employees will be on their feet all day, performing repetitive motions. The floor may be wet from vegetable juices. It is a GMP regulated environment, requiring hand washing before entering the production floor, and the wearing of hair nets, beard nets, and BLUE smocks. No false nails, lashes, or jewelry are allowed. The facility handles pepperoncini, jalapenos, and olives, resulting in a pungent smell. The work setting includes varying temperatures and humidity levels, and candidates may be exposed to strong odors and fumes from hot peppers and other products.
