Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a Sourcing Project Manager. As a successful Sourcing Project Manager, you will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities. You will be reporting to the Director of Procurement, Hydrostatics North America.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• End-to-end responsibility to lead, manage, and facilitate Procurement Projects. This includes successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the projects

• Comprehensive responsibility in the delivery of cost saving projects with all project levers by ensuring that projects are managed properly and meeting all expectations. This would include forming and managing resourcing teams, timeline, action plans, savings, expenses, and relationship outcomes

• Create cost saving pipeline (constrain and unconstrained) for technical, process, sourcing, and negotiation levers by aligning stakeholders and getting approval for projects predominantly between Engineering, Operations and our suppliers

• Effectively managing all assigned or temporary resources to a successful outcome and implementation. This would include people as well as capital funding for tooling and fixtures

• Working with Danfoss Procurement and Product Teams to develop the plan that identifies which projects will be worked on in the next Fiscal year to meet budget and sourcing footprint strategies

• You will be working globally and across numerous functions

• 10-15% travel may be expected (primarily domestic)

• This role is based out of our Danfoss Power Solutions, Ames, Iowa location

Background & Skills

Degree in business, technology, project management, or other related fieldOR 5+ years of experience in project management, procurement, operations, or technology
