As a Weekend Respite Service Coordinator you will be responsible for implementation and oversight of group respite services. ScheduleShifts vary within these hours:

  • Friday: 5pm-11pm, 11pm - Saturday 7am

  • Saturday: 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - Sunday 7am

  • Sunday: 7am - Noon, Noon - 5pm

    What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct care and assist assigned children in developing skills, such as self-care, socialization, communication, daily living skills and other personal cares

  • Implement children’s care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding changes needed to care plan with the child’s supervisor

  • Serve as a contact for assigned children to assure the quality and accessibility of services requested. Assures that daily and other necessary communication occurs in a timely and consistent manner with families, staff, and supervisor

  • Provide coaching, intervention, supervision, and encouragement to staff throughout the group to ensure a positive respite experience

  • Maintain scheduled staffing of service in accordance with established staffing ratios and service targets

  • Ensure the accurate completion of all documentation as required by all staff working group

  • Act as a positive liaison between staff and supervisors

    What You’ll Need

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma required. Additional training and/or education in human services, early childhood, or child development is preferred

  • Minimum of one year experience working with children with special health care needs , preferred

  • Required to become certified for medication administration and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified

  • Must demonstrate self-motivation, responsibility, integrity and have the ability to work without direct supervision

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

  • Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver if required. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance.
