Your role at Clorox:

The Plant Maintenance Leader is a critical member of the site's Leadership Team, with influence on site direction and objectives. Primary accountable leader for all maintenance, reliability improvement and technical skill development responsibilities for a 24/7 CPG manufacturing site.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a member of the Amherst Leadership Team managing the site's maintenance budget.

  • Lead and own the site’s Asset Care (TPM) and User Driven Maintenance (Autonomous Maintenance) TRACC strategy.

  • Oversee the Maintenance Implementation Task Force, managing all Asset Care, EIC, IT, and OT systems.

  • Oversee advanced technical skill development within the site.

  • Participate as a member of the development committee for the plant’s annual and three-year capital program.

  • Ensure engineers and technical support resources focus on influencing and delivering the plant’s business results and objectives.

  • Provide stewardship and oversight for the plant’s maintenance function.

  • Collaborate with the plant's environmental compliance program to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

  • Provide overall stewardship for the entire plant facility and grounds, including: Fire Protection / Risk Management; Building & Grounds; Utility systems; IS, phones & business systems network; Permits, etc.

  • Critically review all engineering and technical work, offering appropriate feedback, guidance, and direction.

  • Ensure conformance to Clorox Safety / Regulatory requirements and the application of Early Management principles in maintenance execution.

  • Maintain ownership of the plant’s technical documentation.

  • Ensure effective linkage between the plant and appropriate platform teams, utilizing the right resources for troubleshooting and issue resolution.

What we look for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing Plant Engineer role, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of plant engineering and maintenance practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and troubleshooting skills, with a track record of implementing effective solutions to optimize plant performance and reliability.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional time management abilities, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently.

  • Proficiency in SAP S4/Hana, Aveva, eQMS (Electronic Quality Management Systems), and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), along with project management expertise.

  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills, essential for clear and concise interaction with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, showing initiative and accountability to meet project deadlines and organizational goals.

  • Proven adaptability to quickly learn and leverage new software and systems, actively driving change initiatives, particularly within Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and empower team members to achieve operational excellence.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
