Summary This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Plains Region, Office of the Regional Director in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and coordinate the day-to-day administrative duties of the Regional Director's Office. Maintain the appointment schedule and informs of all forthcoming meetings and activities. Assist with budget administration duties, financial accounting functions, tracking obligations and expenditures, monitoring, and correcting payroll errors. Participate in the development and implementation of program activities and systems to assure organizational goals and objectives are effectively and efficiently accomplished in compliance with standards for quality. Perform or assist with a variety of assignments involving gathering data, analysis, and development of responses to inquiries. Maintain close diplomatic relationships and serve as the primary contact among subordinate's managers, as well as external mangers and policy makers. Coordinate or conduct special projects which may involving with working with tribal officials, program managers and Central Office personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0301). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-09: I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-7 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). This experience must include assisting management by servicing as office manager assisting with various personnel actions; assist with gathering data, analysis and developing responses to inquiries; assist with timekeeping, and budget and payroll duties; responsible for monitoring Undelivered Orders (UDO's); maintaining office supplies and services; making travel arrangements, arranging meetings, conferences, special projects and maintaining appointment schedules; responsible for incoming mail, updating and maintaining documents and correspondence tracking; primary contact among subordinates. OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-11: I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-9 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). This experience must include assisting management servicing as point of contact for time keeping, and budget/finance systems; recognizing workflow issues to be detrimental to the effective delivery of services; preparing and submitting requests for various actions, maintaining files, and handling and maintaining sensitive confidential information; performing assignments involving gathering data, analysis and development of responses to inquiries from higher level department; assist with tracking obligations and expenditures; participating in development and implementation of program activities and systems; making travel arrangements, arranging meetings, conferences, special projects and maintaining appointment schedules. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., must be related to position.
