This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA).
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend, TBD
LOCATION: City Hall, 632 W. 6th Ave
Example of Duties
The position performs independent, specialized duties in support of the IT Finance and IT Business Management team. Responsible for IT Asset administration, contract administration, and assists with accounting tasks as needed. Duties include but are not limited to: identifying, preparing, validating, and entering data into the IT Asset Management Database, coordinating and facilitating IT contract processing, assisting the Sr. Staff Accountant with Accounts payable data entry, tracking IT Procurement tickets, acting as a backup receptionist for the IT department, driving to various off-site locations to record asset information, and other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and experience in the field related to the position.
Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver License with a satisfactory driving record.
