Job Summary and Qualifications

As Manager of Case Management you will have the opportunity to apply your acute nursing experience and utilization review/discharge planning knowledge to effectively mentor a collaborative team that values extraordinary patient care and dedication to one another. In this role:

  • You will provide leadership in developing and executive strategic initiatives.

  • You will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care, with the underlying objective of enhancing quality of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

  • You will manage the cost of care and provide timely, accurate information to payers.

  • You will integrate and coordinate care facilitation, discharge planning functions and utilization management.

  • You will lead the Case Management team in performing their role functions and assist with mentoring new employees.

  • You will identify barriers to patient care and facilitate change in processes to remove those barriers.

  • You will develop standard processes and policies and ensure that all initiatives meet company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Current State of Alaska RN license.

  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in clinical nursing required.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Certification in Case Management or Utilization Review preferred.

  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships.

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) certification.
