Mobile Coatings Journeyman Painter Location: Poseyville, Indiana Pay Rate: $26 - $38/hour (depending on experience) Relocation Assistance Available

First Call Direct Hire is recruiting for a Mobile Coatings Journeyman Painter to join our great clients team in Poseyville, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company that values its employees. The ideal candidate will perform routine and preventative maintenance painting tasks and specialized coating projects, including painting large structures in corrosive environments. You will assist the Foreman and team, taking on key responsibilities and leading smaller projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities: Project Mobilization:

• Assist the Foreman in planning material, equipment, supplies, manpower, and schedule needs
• Help with load lists and job site setup

Project Execution:

• Safely perform tasks within your craft/skill set (abrasive blasting, brush/roll, hand/power tool surface prep, pressure washing, spray coatings, etc.)
• Continue to develop your skill set under the guidance of the Foreman

Project Completion:

• Assist in breakdown, loading, and demobilizing equipment
• Report any quality issues, near misses, or improvement ideas to the Foreman

Daily Responsibilities:

• Arrive on-site on time, with the appropriate PPE, ready to work
• Follow instructions from the Foreman throughout the workday

Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Tasks:

• Submit safety suggestions, quality improvements, or maintenance needs
• Keep the shop clean and organized
• Refer qualified candidates to open positions
• Provide feedback on team members during annual reviews

Skills and Qualifications:

• Mastery of at least 4 crafts or skills (e.g., abrasive blast, spray coatings, surface prep, etc.)
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices
• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
