In this role, the Information Security Engineer will be instrumental in defending the organization against a myriad of cyber threats, leveraging your expertise to enhance their security posture and ensure the integrity of their systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Conduct ongoing threat analysis and manage incident response across a diverse security stack, including infrastructure, network, end-user devices, web applications, and more.

• Engage in proactive threat hunting within SIEM environments, including UEBA, managed AV, firewall, and internal events, to identify and mitigate potential threats.

• Research and track current security threats and vulnerabilities, prioritize and respond based on risk and exposure, and guide IT teams through remediation and verification processes.

• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation focusing on security processes, policies, and application configuration baselines.

• Participate actively in incident response exercises and operational activities to enhance readiness and response capabilities.

• Provide expert support and guidance in IT security projects, initiatives, and security improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• At least four years of work experience as a System Security Engineer or in a related position.

• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience utilizing SIEM and participating in incident response teams.

• Proven experience in developing, operating, and maintaining security systems.

• Solid understanding of key concepts and practices in information security (i.e., operating systems and network security, application security, vulnerability analysis, encryption technologies, intrusion detection, incident response, and business continuity management).

• Familiarity with security systems (i.e., next-gen anti-virus applications, DLP tools and methodologies, firewalls, authentication systems, and intrusion detection and notification systems).

• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of security protocols and principles.

• Due to the nature of the work candidates must be a United States Citizen or United States Permanent Resident.
