Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to Resource Management. This position is Regular Full-time with benefits. Responsibilities Uses work processing software to produce a variety of documents. Transmit and receive documents and messages electronically using personal computer that is networked. Types correspondence, reports, forms, messages, memoranda, statistical or tabular material, where spacing arrangements are complicated, directly in final form without a rough draft. Arranges the material in the form necessitated by the nature of the subject matter, the purpose for which it is to be used, the format required by regulations, style manuals or policy. Maintains the Office File Plan, produces the NAF Council slides and out-processes separating individuals. Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files. Functions as backup cashier in support of Central Cashier; in that capacity performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties. Collects cash receipts, checks, credit card receipts, and other supporting documentation. Prepares and issues change for funds as required. Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposit in a timely manner. Ensures all monies are accounted for by balancing with the posting of funds placed in the activity's safe before actual bank deposit. Prepares cash reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Performs reconciliation, balancing and auditing of receipts for a moderate number of categories on a simultaneous basis. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position. Experience in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have experience demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, deposit, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling in cash items (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
