Shift Options : 11:15 PM – 7:45 AM OR 3:15 PM – 11:45 PM

Job Type : Permanent

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment specific to our production operations. You will work with blueprints, schematic drawings, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our production machinery.

Your ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment will be essential in minimizing downtime and maintaining a smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, Repair, and Maintain Machinery : Perform repairs and maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical equipment based on diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.

  • Diagnose Malfunctions : Analyze and troubleshoot production machinery malfunctions; replace defective parts and test machine performance.

  • Routine Maintenance : Lubricate and perform regular maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment.

  • Safety : Operate and repair equipment safely and efficiently to reduce the risk of injury and equipment damage.

  • Preventive Maintenance : Document tasks performed and assist in maintaining preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Collaboration : Work closely with the Engineering and Production departments to optimize machinery, assist in production set-ups, and modify equipment for improved functionality.

  • Technical Assistance : Provide technical support to the production team for equipment setup and changeover.

  • Improve Processes : Observe and suggest improvements to production processes.

  • Maintain Dust Collection System : Service external components of the dust collection system.

  • Vendor Collaboration : Work with outside vendors to enhance in-house maintenance capabilities.

  • Other Duties : Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production and maintenance operations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanical Aptitude : Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and piping.

  • Troubleshooting Ability : Skill in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues using various tools and techniques.

  • Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with machinery, tools, and equipment related to industrial maintenance.

  • Communication : Ability to train, instruct, and communicate effectively with other mechanics and operators.

  • Reading Diagrams : Ability to interpret set-up diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Physical Stamina : Ability to work on your feet for long periods (8-10 hours/day) and lift or move heavy objects as required.

  • Forklift Certification : Must obtain within 60 days of employment.

  • Experience : Prior industrial maintenance experience is helpful, but on-site training is provided.

  • Education : High school diploma or GED required.

Work Environment & Tools

  • Tools Used : Various hand tools (wrenches, pliers, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.), power tools, welding equipment (TIG, stick), meters, and measuring devices.

  • Machines Operated : Forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, and stand-up equipment.

  • Work Hours : Evening and overnight shifts with full-time schedules (11:15 PM - 7:45 AM or 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM).
