Summary
The laboratories of Dr. Deanna Gates and Dr. David Lipps in theSchool of Kinesiology (https://www.kines.umich.edu/) seek to hire a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator to work on externally funded projects. These labs use quantitative and qualitative methods to assess movements in individuals with amputation and those with breast cancer. The successful candidate will be reliable, conscientious, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. This person will also possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and demonstrate cultural competence and a commitment to working with individuals with impairments.

Responsibilities*
Research tasks (75%) include:
Acting as study coordinator for active projects, including identifying participants, determining eligibility, consenting, and scheduling
Preparing study materials, including recruitment materials and online surveys, for data collection
Overseeing data processing and management in software such as RedCap and Qualtrics
Conduct biomechanics research under the direction of the PIs
Managing training of undergraduate research assistants
Assisting in data analysis
Supporting collaborations with outside researchers
Administrative tasks (25%) include:
Assisting with IRB applications, including IRB maintenance tasks (e.g, continuing reviews, data and safety monitoring submissions)
Managing purchasing of lab supplies, coordinating purchases with research administrator and other administrative staff as needed
Managing maintenance of lab equipment, coordinating with support staff as needed to fix equipment issues
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with clinical data management
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Knowledge of basic MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) applications
Ability to remain stationary at a computer for up to 4 hours at a time to collect, process, or review data.
Ability to move laboratory equipment up to 20lbs

Desired Qualifications*
Master's degree in Kinesiology, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
1+ year of experience in a research lab setting
Experience with writing and maintain IRB protocols and conducting human subjects research
Experience with coding and data processing with Matlab, R, or similar programming language and motion capture software packages
Experience with electronic medical record systems (Epic)
Additional Information
This is a full-time term-limited position for one-year with the possibility of a second year dependent on performance and availability of funding. An offer may be extended outside the general salary range shared in this posting based on equity, experience, knowledge, and skills for this role.
