Provide independent and collaborative data analytic support for the Michigan Hospital Medicine Safety Consortium (HMS) to improve the quality of care for hospitalized medical patients. Work as a member of a data analytics team consisting of Data Analysts, Statisticians, and Program Evaluation Specialists and Physicians performing data management, programming, analysis, report building, and survey design. Work with stakeholders, team members, and end users to identify and understand clinical data collections needs, challenges, and opportunities; prepare data collection tools; build reports, graphs, or dashboards for research with user-friendly data visualizations; write, test and implement programs to clean, merge, and analyze and maintain large complex datasets using SAS, MySQL, Python tools and libraries among others; prepare and maintain technical documentation of data and analysis files; maintain, clean, and organize datasets for statisticians; collaborate with internal teams and external vendors in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of technical data collection and specifications. Occasional evening and weekend work. Up to 80% remote work from home (optional).
