University Of Michigan MPOG Applications Programmer Analyst in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Develop, create, and modify computer applications software and specialized utility programs for the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG), comprised of over 70 hospitals across 18 states and 2 countries. Plan, conduct, and coordinate the application of information system techniques to existing and future needs. Perform complex systems analysis and programming tasks requiring advanced techniques. Provide technical advice and consultation on difficult analysis and programming problems requiring advanced techniques. Conduct analysis of complex data processing applications and prepares feasibility studies to evaluate user needs for new or revised systems. Coordinate interfaces between major systems and programs. Conceptualize, develop, and implement complex program designs utilizing different databases. Achieve operational status within required time parameters and with acceptable operating performance. Define system objectives and prepare systems design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems. Aid in developing programming, systems analysis, and documentation standards. Present recommendations to management. Prepare and conduct comprehensive system and programming tests. Debug malfunctions and modify programs accordingly. Recommend system software modifications or changes to hardware configurations. Up to 100% remote work (optional-within Michigan only).
