Job Summary

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences in the College of Engineering of the University of Michigan, an international leader in the field of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The appointment is targeted at the tenure-track assistant or associate professor level, but all applicants will be considered. The Department will consider all qualified applicants across the fields of nuclear engineering, radiation measurements, materials, and plasma/fusion science, with particular interest in expertise in experimental or computational thermal-fluids, and radiation detection.

Applicants are expected to have demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship in their technical fields. In addition to conducting research, faculty members are expected to teach and mentor students at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and to supervise student research.

Modes of Work

The mode of work for this position is ONSITE. Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
