Summary

In this hybrid position, you will provide pre- and post-award grant administration support for faculty within the School of Kinesiology. Reporting directly to the Research Process Manager, you will help develop and manage a sponsored project. You will contribute to all aspects of sponsored programs administration including everything from preparing and submitting proposals to assisting with reconciliation of grants and contract expenses. Responsibilities*

Approximate effort and primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work with faculty to coordinate and compile proposal for successful submissions of grants and contracts.

  • Develop proposal budgets.

  • Ensure all proposals meet agency and University guidelines, timetables, and deadlines.

  • Help reconcile grants and contract expenses to ensure compliance.-Prepare monthly budget projections.

  • Prepare and set-up of subaccounts, subcontracts, and cost-sharing activities.

  • Handle financial status reports, Uniform Guidance reports, award change requests, and journal entries.

  • Prepare and process appointment change requests (PAR), budget allocations, journal entries and vouchers.

  • Work with department and central offices to resolve financial, HR and payroll issues.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Administration, or a scientific discipline).

  • At least three years of experience in research administration, grant management, or related fields.

  • Knowledge of funding agency guidelines, research compliance regulations, and institutional policies.
