Xoran Technologies LLC Systems Administrator in Ann Arbor, Michigan

The Systems Administrator is a key support member of the IT team of Xoran Technologies; a medical device manufacturing company located in Ann Arbor, MI. The primary responsibility of this position is to troubleshoot, improve, secure, and maintain the Company's network/computer systems and provide efficient and effective technical support service. This position reports to the Director of IT and is an exempt, full-time position located in our Ann Arbor, MI office.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and bring resolution to issues within the networking and server infrastructure.
  • Consult on requirements of new client/server applications.
  • Develop system scripts using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Develop, test, and keep current/new infrastructure technologies.
  • Develop and continuously improve IT documentation.
  • Responsible for the delivery and support of business systems, including the deployment of cloud-based computing services (Office 365, Salesforce, Plex, and other cloud services.)
  • Configure and install new workstations, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Maintain IT inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the organization's infrastructure and applications.
  • Implementation and configuration of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Server and Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support).
  • Update, design, and implement access control for numerous systems and services.
  • Research and recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications as well as equipment.
  • Assist in building new PC images for medical devices.
  • Validation and testing of IT and SW systems/applications.
  • Assist in developing cybersecurity strategies and eliminating security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Comply with all applicable SOPs and maintain compliance with FDA, HIPAA, NIST, and ISO.
  • Conduct and assist in IT security audits and assessments, including incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity implementations.
  • Proactively and continuously improve Xoran's internal processes, products, and services.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for meeting expectations, goals, and quality of work.
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner and use constructive feedback to make improvements.
  • Hands-on experience in setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of Microsoft infrastructure including servers, switches, firewall, and desktops.
  • Experience in domain administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V).
  • Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization with technical competency.
  • Broad knowledge of information technology processing systems, concepts and methodologies; demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to research and present ideas in user-friendly language, and to share knowledge with peers.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Must operate with the highest level of integrity and can demonstrate discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
  • Able to manage and work effectively with IT Vendors.
Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology, or related field.
