The Technical Service Manager will lead the development and growth of eduroam, an interoperable wireless roaming service utilized by nearly 2,000 colleges, universities, schools, and organizations. As the primary technical liaison between the eduroam US team and international partners, you will play a key role in shaping the future of this essential service.

Working closely with the Director of eduroam and the Senior Program Manager for K-12 to drive strategic planning, provide best practices guidance, and manage deployment workflows to support the ongoing expansion of the eduroam national infrastructure.

Qualifications:

bull; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Centered Design & Engineering,

Informatics, Business Administration, Information Management, or related field, or

equivalent experience.

bull; Minimum of 2 years IT or networking experience performing and leading complex tasks and

responsibilities involving programmatic, design, development, and support of a large,

cross-organizational program.

bull; 5 years experience working directly with customers, business analysts, and/or functional subject matter experts to gather and analyze use cases and business requirements to

incrementally improve the value and attractiveness of a program.

bull; Ability to synthesize information and apply analytical, abstract, creative, and evaluative

skills to solve complex problems involving multiple stakeholders and competing

incentives.

bull; Ability to write and communicate for audiences with varying levels of technical skill sets and scopes of responsibility including technical documentation and standards writing.

bull; Ability to be successful and thrive in a highly collaborative remote environment.

bull; Experience working with distributed teams on complex multi-organizational programs.

bull; Strong customer focus and ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders and

Partners.

bull; Familiarity with wireless architectures, solutions, technologies, and standards.

Preferred Skills:

bull; Familiarity with wireless architectures, solutions, technologies, and standards developed

in and for the research and education community.

bull; Experience performing and leading progressively complex tasks and

responsibilities involving analysis, design, development, and support of IAM or wireless

service programs.

bull; Ability to quickly learn, apply and effectively advocate for new methods and/or techniques.
