ManTech IT Project Manager, Engineering Team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager, Engineering to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager with an engineering background with a proven record of project engineering support across the systems engineering lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple engineering and technical disciplines aligned with numerous ongoing global projects. Additionally, will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception through completion, and will also support Tier III engineers in the initiation, planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of various projects and activities to include the support of Network Engineering, Video Teleconferencing, AVMM, Information Assurance, Cabling, and Telephony engineering teams across the systems development lifecycle. Will use soft skills of strategic guidance, senior level leadership skills, customer interaction, a strong sense of urgency, and excellent team organizational skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific hardware and software components and systems.

  • Prepare/write, technical documentation, Statements of work, review billing information and all other Project Management tasks as assigned and reports on the same.

  • Work with senior engineers and managers to understand and document scope and parameters for project initiation and implementation. Identify project responsibilities, timelines, delegating phases and elements to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Serve as the project engineering interface between the engineering team, vendors, logistics functions, Field Service Operations, and other Frames and customers, while working with other project leads to coordinate site visits, order components, and deliver bill of materials.

  • Use standard methods and procedures to track and maintain project parameters, and host meetings as required.

  • Assist with submission and tracking of project documentation such as: outage requests; site survey planning; logistical support; security acquisition efforts; travel plans; power, space, and cooling reviews; architecture control boards; engineering review boards, etc.

  • Assists to identify and address issues related to ServiceNow ticketing tasks in support of SLAs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an IT logistics manager in IT equipment, networks, and end user devices.

  • Ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide a quick and effective resolutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six years of hands-on systems engineering, and/or network, end-user, and security experience supporting the design, deployment, and operation of Enterprise IT capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Network Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of ITSM fundamentals and related infrastructure to include some level of experience/knowledge with ServiceNow, Splunk, VMware, Windows, UNIX, and related operating systems; CAN Networking; Risk Management Framework, and Databases.

  • Experience with Thin & Thick client end points and VoIP .

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to various audiences and to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues, and others.

  • Active PMP® Certification

  • 2+ years of experience with Project management, project engineering, or project planning experience identifying, documenting, and managing project scope, schedule, and cost.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph.
