We are seeking a MySQL Database Administrator.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

Required Skills:

• Designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise.
• Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed design for a specific Oracle product or technology.
• Provides implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement customer unique business processes and workflows.
• Performs routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls and security.
• Performs system optimization, performance tuning and assists in capacity planning.
• Performs proactive analysis of potential issues, risks and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.
• Candidate will be providing MySQL database administration support.
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation, and tuning.
• Installing and configuring new MySQL servers (5.x and 8.x).
• Design and development of MySQL stored procedures.
• Upgrading MySQL databases, both major and minor revisions.
• Administering MySQL account access, backups, and table spaces.
• Migrating MySQL databases.
• Monitoring MySQL server performance.
• Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience administering to, and engineering solutions with, Oracle MySQL.
• BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years of experience.
• Must be COMPTIA Security Plus certified.
