System Engineer Support Level 2

Candidate must have an active TS/SCI w/Poly

DCCA is looking to staff a junior- to mid-Level Systems Engineer position to support a new, prime contract for a Government program that delivers important technical solutions and products using emerging technologies for processing significantly large amounts of data. Program technical areas include commercial cloud technologies, high performance computing, and enterprise architecture. The program is tactically important to the national security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results. Our teams are always looking for the best talent who want to contribute exceptional support to our customer’s unique and mission-critical work. This is a growing, high-profile program. Current, active TS/SCI clearance with poly required.

DCCA’s Program team is searching for highly skilled, junior- to mid-level Systems Engineer to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate will be interested in executing legacy- to cloud-based transitions, specifically focused on data flow engineering to ensure thorough data analysis and compliance to meet government requirements and should possess the following qualifications:

· Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:

o Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.

o Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.

o Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.

o Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.

REQUIRED SKILLS/TASKS:

· The following demonstrated experience performing tasks related to one or more of the following areas:

o Contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.

o Manages system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture.

o Assists with the allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel component.

o Coordinates the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination.

o Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.

o Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.

o Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288.

o Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Strong written and verbal skills to support documentation and customer interface.

· Must be very detail oriented.

· Must have exceptional customer relationship skills.

EDUCATION:

· A High School Diploma or GED plus six (6) years of general systems engineering experience (any process area).

OR

· A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of systems engineering experience.

OR

· A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university .

OR

· A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
