Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry of finance, located in ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The workplace environment will be dynamic and fast-paced. The role will involve handling accounts payable functions, processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the finance department with various duties.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices on a weekly basis

• Conducting account reconciliations

• Preparing bank deposits

• Building and maintaining relationships with vendors

• Providing support to the finance department with diverse tasks

• Utilizing skills in Account Coding, Concur, Accrual Accounting, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Abila MIP, Excel Formulas, and Check Processing

• Ensuring accurate record keeping of customer credit applications

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proficient in Account Coding

• Demonstrated experience with Concur software

• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles

• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions

• Familiarity with Abila MIP software

• Proficient in using Excel Formulas for financial calculations

• Experience in Bank Deposit procedures and regulations

• Knowledge of Check Processing in a financial setting.
