Our Client in the telecom space is looking for a NOC Manager to join their growing team, In this role you will be working hands on with the NOC team as well as establishing documentation and best practices going forward.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50 - $60 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the integration of their network,

  • Create network architecture test plans, evaluate hardware, and plan RAN/Transport networks.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to pursue impactful go to market options and strategies that will help the Company advance its wireless connectivity solution strategy.

• Experience creating, implementing, and enforcing NOC policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline network operations.

• Ability to lead and develop a team of NOC technicians and network engineers, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.

• Ability to develop and deliver training programs for peer teams, including Operations, Engineering, and Sales.

• Proven ability to document activities in a ticketing system and maintain accurate records of sites, contacts, and infrastructure.

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues across network, server, and application layers.

• Ability to perform proactive and reactive network health checks to identify and mitigate potential service disruptions.

• Proven experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools; familiarity with ManageEngine OpManager is a plus.

• Practical knowledge of wireless networking technologies (Fixed Wireless, Private Networks, etc.) and ISP infrastructure

• Smoothly facilitate shift handovers by providing thorough updates on outstanding issues and tasks to the incoming team.

• Expertise in IP networking and protocols, including BGP, OSPF, IP addressing, VPNs, and network security best practices.

• Proficiency in managing Layer 2 network technologies, including LAN/WAN, Datacenter, and Wireless Infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with Juniper or Cisco networking technologies preferred.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned to support the success of technology services.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 5+ years in technical support roles within enterprise networking, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity

• Experience in NOC management or Service Provider environments is highly desirable.

• In-depth understanding of IP Networking, routing protocols, network security, and best practices.

• Hands-on experience with fixed wireless installations and operations.

• Knowledge of CRM or Helpdesk case management systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio (preferred).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in business terms.

• Ability to participate in a rotating 24x7/365 schedule, with flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.

• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and support.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
