BAE Systems Material Planner I in Anniston, Alabama

Job Description

Researching part shortages before they become a production issue

Verifying material delivered to the line

Helping maintain an inventory accuracy of 95% or higher

Performing a Bill of Material Analysis

Reviewing usage and consumption rates

Performing inventory investigations and research

Performing expedited picks to the line through the Oracle system

Managing all items not needed on the line that will be required to return to the warehouse and perform transactions needed for this effort

Maintain good relationship with external Integrated Supply vendors.

Accurately record and report line item needs.

Monitor usage of items. Report if usages are higher than initial predictions.

Work closely with engineering for material cross ref. items as needed.

Work with procurement on lead times on items on how or when they will become a line shortage and report to the appropriate individuals.

Work with warehouse inventory specialist on items transitioning over to IST

Monitor and track non-vendor managed material. Report to procurement when supply is getting low, utilize the BOM and contract QTY on replenishment needs.

Audit vendor managed material locations.

Bill of material reviews / and comparisons with other programs.

Monitor paint and chemical and fuel usages and order as needed.

Review chemical SDS.

Work with procurement and external vendors to have material expedited to location.

Track IST shipments and communicate with floor supervisors and planners on arrival.

Receive IST shipments from the receiving dept. and distribute to the line.

Process Non conforming material

Line Side Walk (Kanban Bins, Large Parts, Vendor Provided Bins)

Line Takt Readiness

Backflush/Resolve Errors

Kanban Maintenance

Line Balance Reconciliation (As needed)

Escalate kitting needs

Maintain Stockout Report

Unallocated Review (Op Pull material)

Scan Audit Sheet Resolution

Return to Stores (RTS) as required

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School Diploma with 4 years experience in Inventory Control OR Associates Degree with 2 years experience in Inventory Control

Must have inventory control experience.

Oracle Knowledge

Intermediate to Advanced Excel Knowledge, including Pivot Tables and V-Look up formulas

Excellent Communication skills

Documentation Accuracy is critical

Ability to perform inventory investigations and research

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $43920 - $74700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
