THIRD SHIFT PET CARE TECHNICIAN

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Shag Bark Pet Retreat & Spa has an immediate opening in our Lodging department for a Third Shift Pet Care Technician to care and provide for the needs of our overnight lodging guests. These duties include but are not limited to evening bathroom breaks, providing food and water, monitoring and recording health statistics, laundry detail, washing dishes, facility cleaning and disinfecting.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Qualified applicants will be highly self motivated and enthusiastic about working in an independent, fast-paced, pet focused environment; will have previous pet care experience in a similar facility ; will have experience administering medications (oral, topical, injections); and be able to work efficiently from a check list of activities.

This position requires your full attention. It is extremely detail oriented. The health, happiness and safety of our guests depend on your pet care knowledge, keen observation skills, and attention to detail. This is a 12-20 hour per week, part-time position, and starts at 7:00 pm. We staff 7 days per week, and even though schedules are usually fixed, a candidates flexibility is a plus. We offer a competitive salary with bonus potential.

• Associate's Degree or higher

• Computer literate

• Minimum 1 year experience in a pet care facility
