SANITATION LEAD

The sanitation supervisor is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize the food processing plant to meet food safety, and quality standards of Mayer Bros. as well as other regulatory bodies

Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.

Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.

Orders sanitation supplies and equipment as needed.

Coordinates sanitation plan with Production and Quality Assurance departments according to production schedules and staffing requirements.

Trains staff and Production employees assigned to Sanitation duty on proper sanitation procedures.

Examines incoming shipments of food ingredients for foreign matter such as insects, poisons, or dirt.

Communicates with management and production about any issues regarding, equipment, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and quality of product.

Compiles reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.

Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Ensure compliance with HACCP and SQF as well as food safety and quality prerequisite programs.

Must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew and be flexible and willing to perform additional varying tasks per manager's instructions and in accordance with all production and safety guidelines.

Performing all duties in compliance with OSHA, state and/or local regulations.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required Prior Sanitation experience in food/beverage industry required Prior Sanitation supervisor in food/beverage industry preferred Knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 50 per week
