JOB REQUIREMENTS: Cost Accountant Implement cost accounting procedures and methods. Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports. Who are we? Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries. Job Summary Determine cost of operations by establishing and documenting estimate of completion costs; collect operational data. Work with the material and operation functions to audit processes surrounding inventory (costing, equivalent units, transaction trials, cycle counts, customer furnished material and obsolete/excess material). Provide training and guidance to the production floor on inventory related activities Provide regular margin analysis reports for actual versus bid to the facility staff Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; provide trends and forecasts; explain processes and techniques; recommend actions. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and make comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials. Confirm costs by collecting, interpreting, and reporting data Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Adhere to \"General Requirements of Team Members\" Perform other assignments as required Required Skills and Qualifications Self-starter capable of interacting closely with production, bidding and customer service as well as the ability to quickly identify and solve complex problems. Strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills. Ability to work with a large volume of detail, producing accurate results within aggressive deadlines. Advanced level of computer skills in e-mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Proficient MRP/ERP system skills. Ability to prepare business correspondence, reports, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present technical and budgetary or cost information, and respond to questions from managers and external contractors.
