Description

  • Overall Responsibilities:

  • Achieves established event revenue and profit goals through ticket sales, sponsorships, and booth sales directly and/or through coordinating with the sales department and individual sales personnel

  • Develops, coordinates and implements all aspects and plans of assigned events.

  • Assist Publisher and Sales as needed with special emphasis on community events and promotion.

  • Work efficiently and effectively with in-house staff, customers, and vendors

    Specific Responsibilities:

  • Suggests, initiates, and implements new methods and procedures to enhance Insight events

  • Develops promotional plans and coordinates in-house and outside media promotion of events within budget parameters.

  • Creates agendas and documents processes for events.

  • Communicates clearly both verbally and in written form, with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • As requested, assist Regional & Associate Publishers with the strategy and development of product offerings and its supporting materials, including product overviews, sponsorship packages, the annual media kit, and sell sheets.

  • Maintain a “customer comes first” environment with a proactive commitment to internal and external customer service.

  • Assist in Insight promotion house ad flow with Graphic Designers and online components.

  • Lead and coordinate the Manufacturing First Expo & Conference by overseeing the involvement of the outside contractor and keeping the budgeted hours and event expense in line with the annual budget expectations

  • Coordinate the development and training of online registration tools for attendee registrations and award nominations for all Insight Publications events, especially the registration of attendees for Manufacturing First.

  • Coordinate the development and training of online tools to allow online reservations of event-related transactions for all events, especially for Manufacturing First exhibitor booths, program ads, electricity and other options deemed necessary in the online transaction including credit card payment.

  • Actively participates in the Great Game of Business.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned by the Publisher.

Qualifications

Skills: Marketing and branding skills. Negotiation skills. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Detail oriented.

Knowledge: College degree or equivalent successful career track with a minimum of two years in advertising, marketing, or business. Experience with event planning, coordination, and execution. Solid experience and knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing applications, such as MS Excel, MS Word, etc. Experience in print publication mechanical and communication workflow processes preferred.
