About the Group Reliability Engineeringis a sub-discipline of Systems Engineering that emphasizes dependability in the lifecycle management of a product. Reliability describes the ability of a system or component to function under stated conditions for a specifiedperiod of time. The main objectives of Reliability Engineering are to apply engineering knowledge and specialist techniques to prevent or to reduce the likelihood or frequency of failures, and to identify and correct the causes of failures that occur despite the efforts to prevent them.The Gulfstream Reliability Engineering function is responsible for performing the required reliability analyses, for coordinating failure reporting and corrective action on developmental and in-service programs and tracking reliability performance of key in-service components. Excellent communication and computer skills Experience with quality fundamentals Experience conducting RCCA investigations Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, Reliability or technical discipline required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years experience as a Reliability Engineer or related experience. Demonstrated experience calculating aircraft reliability performance parameters. Position Purpose: Responsible for participating in the planning, coordination, performance of design, and analysis of engineering data supporting the development and evolution of Gulfstream Reliability products and related issues regardless of complexity. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Share responsibility for reviewing and maintaining Reliability databases including preparation and presentation to internal and external customers. Offer reliability program technical recommendations on behalf of Gulfstream. Under limited supervision, develop and specify new aircraft reliability requirements in the associated Design Specification and Statement of Work (SOW) for new component(s)/system(s). Review supplier Request for Proposal responses for various aircraft component(s)/system(s) and assists in the supplier rating and selection process. Act independently to develop own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. Develop standards and guides to support Reliability activities.
