Pukall Lumber Company Millwork Specialist in Arbor Vitae, Michigan

The Millwork Specialist will sell windows, doors, hardware, and related millwork to contractors and the general public. The sales can be performed at the sales office, Arbor Vitae retail store, or customers' place of business. This is a regular full-time, hourly (40+ hours/week) position eligible for benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services. Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
  • Be the direct support for the Contractor Sales Representatives for millwork orders for their customer accounts.
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for obtained orders.
  • Prepare material take-offs specific to millwork.
  • Learn different product configurations for suppliers to effectively create accurate quotes and orders.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships. Provide product demonstrations to customers. Display products using samples and/or brochures and emphasize salable features. Overcome technical and business objectives of prospective customers.
  • Engage in the required training with suppliers.
  • Place orders with suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer based on production and delivery schedules, to include acknowledgments from suppliers.
  • Travel to customer job sites for field-measuring and obtain information for quoting and ordering purposes.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with orders, products, quotes, and deliveries.
  • Coordinate warranty claims and field service schedules with manufacturers.
  • Maintain account activities and literature are up to date.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A current and valid driver's license is required.
  • Previous experience selling residential doors and windows is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of database, design, inventory software programs and order processing systems is preferred.
