DOT Program SpecialistThis position is responsibility for DOT program management and regulatory compliance for the 8 registered Land O'Lakes Commercial Fleets subject to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements. This encompasses 500 drivers and 700 vehicles. This role supports all Fleets in training, implementing performance standards, new hire, and standardizing best practices to reduce risk.Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills (to be able to perform this job):2-5 years of experience with DOT Regulatory ComplianceHigh School Diploma or GEDSubstantial expertise in DOT 49 CFR Driver & D&A regulationsAbility to effectively and efficiently communicate/collaborate with multiple levels of the organization to improve efficiencies while ensuring complianceCritical thinking skills and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skillsUnderstand the distribution, transportation, and warehousing of agricultural commoditiesIdentify opportunities to make changes to improve processes and procedures, address weaknesses in process and implement a solutionMust be detail-oriented with excellent analytical skillsStrong organizational skills, able to balance multiple priorities and projects with the capability to make course corrections quickly when neededIndependently makes sound, informed decisions, particularly under time pressureAbility to manage multiple projects efficiently without supervisionTranslate and communicate regulations, laws, and policies, to provide guidance for others who are not direct reports to stay compliant with Federal and State regulationsOrganizational Support - Upholds organizational values and meets productivity standards; Follows policies and procedures; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Follows instructions and responds to management direction; Uses time efficiently; Prioritizes and completes tasks accurately and in a timely manner, detail oriented and time-sensitive minded; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goalsAccurately interpret and communicate regulations, and policiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) & LOL communication platformsPreferred Experience/Knowledge/Skills:5 years of experience with DOT Regulatory Compliance4 year degree or higherSalary: $80,000 - $90,000 based on experienceAbout Land O'Lakes, Inc.Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
