About the Role: The Principle Project Manager will support the Global Business Technology & Solutions Business Optimization Team in leading a diverse portfolio of technology and optimization programs/projects across the Global Customer Care and Capital Equipment organization. This role will drive discovery opportunities and lead prioritization efforts to align resources with strategic objectives, including managing the project intake process and overseeing program and project management from inception to completion, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities will Include: Lead formal discovery opportunities using task and process mining tools to uncover data-driven insights into inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with the Global Business Automation Development team to create and drive innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiencies through automation and advanced technology. Conduct regular Gemba walks, both onsite and remotely, to observe and engage with teams in their work environment, identifying pain points, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization or automation improvements. Guide cross-functional project teams in delivering continuous improvement solutions that meet business requirements and align with strategic objectives. Conduct project discovery meetings to assess the current state versus potential future state, value proposition, level of effort, and strategic alignment, helping to determine and establish clear project priorities. Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets using project management tools, collaborating with appropriate partners to understand tasks and actions necessary for project completion and value realization. Develop standard work, including the standardization of core processes and work templates, to ensure consistent and reliable support. Communicate project status through standard status reports and participation in departmental project status update meetings. Resolve project issues by working with team members, project customers, and other stakeholders as needed. Consult with technology solutions vendor support and internal project groups, sharing project management expertise and mentoring junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques. Participate in external project management organizations, conferences, and seminars to stay current with industry best practices, joining professional associations, and implementing a professional development plan focused on project management. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum of 5+ years of Project Management experience Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization, including Senior Management Direct customer facing experience, understanding of customer's business process and environment Experience in New Product Development (NPD), commercialization, Acquisitions, Capital Equipment/Service, Quality System/Regulation and/or Technology development Preferred Qualifications: MBA preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Medical device experience SAP knowledge Value Improvement Process (VIP) experience Requisition ID:588239 As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
