Stryker Manufacturing Production Lead I - Weekend Shift - $32/hour + $1 Shift Premium in Arlington, Tennessee

Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday 6 AM until 6:30 PM, 1 day through out the week for 4 hours, preferable on Thursday to prepare for weekend.

What you will do:

The Manufacturing Production Lead (MPL) is responsible for performing various manufacturing duties as required to ensure the team meets all goals and objectives. An MPL may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. In collaboration with the Production Supervisor, successfully leads a small sub-team to achieve safety, quality, service, and financial goals.

  • Understanding hourly attainment of responsible areas and execute to the requirements.

  • Obtaining and execute to the production schedule.

  • Collaborating and pulling in support staff, after appropriately investigation of issues, as needed.

  • Understanding and escalating through appropriate help channels as required.

  • Is the first line of defense for troubleshooting including, but not limited to, equipment, quality and process issues.

  • Partnering with other Manufacturing Process Leads and/or Production Supervisor to coordinate resources in the area based on production schedule and standards, troubleshooting schedule changes throughout the shift.

  • Training in responsible area and ensure team members are properly trained/certified in all facets of their job.

  • Ability to build and/or operate in production to meet production pace requirements (up to 50% of time)

  • Exposing and documenting problems through the MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) process.

  • Understanding and maintaining MDI Tier I boards and reporting.

  • Responsible for shift hand off and communication with peers

  • Serving as a backup for Process Specialist and leadership as required by Management.

  • Supporting onboarding of temporary employees and new hires

  • Working closely with the Production Team Leader to provide feedback on team members in responsible area.

  • Providing real time feedback to employees on business alignment and meeting objectives.

  • Driving a culture of safety, positivity and collaboration within the team

  • Identifying and communicating potential resource needs for area.

  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvement projects within area including safety, quality and productivity.

What you need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent - required

  • 5 + years of prior manufacturing experience - required

  • Moderate PC skills: ability to read, understand, and follow procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. Demonstrated ability to operate machinery and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; strong organization and planning abilities. Capable of carrying out verbal instructions and effectively addressing issues or concerns.

  • Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on safety practices, including good housekeeping and ergonomics. Ability to speak up about safety and quality issues and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.

  • Ability to meet work schedules, including overtime requirements. May involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, reaching, pushing, or pulling, and requires coordination of eye, hand, and/or foot movements.

  • Ability to work well with others in a diverse setting, contribute to team goals, and actively participate in continuous improvement. Demonstrated motivation to grow, learn, and progress in skills, including cross-training opportunities.
