ManTech Budget Analyst in Arlington, Virginia
Responsibilities:
Conduct a budget line item review to understand their purpose, function, and allocation.
Analyze historical budget data and exhibits to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern for budget structure and justification.
Develop a methodology for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of budget justification material.
Provide recommendations for improving the quality and accuracy of budget justifications.
Collaborate with budget stakeholders, including Component budget officers and program managers, to ensure the budget and associated justification are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures for developing and reviewing budget justifications to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Prepare status reports for senior management and stakeholders based on the analysis of budget justification material.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Willing to work onsite at the Pentagon daily
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with pivot tables and other advanced features of Excel
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent writing skills and the ability to quickly deliver quality written products in constrained time periods
Must have outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoD
Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers on various ad hoc requests
Preferred:
Extensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutions
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects
Federal budget or DoD budget experience
Certified Defense Financial Manager
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a active/current Secret clearance
