Lockheed Martin Data Platform & Analytics Services Director in Arlington, Virginia

Description: The Data Platform & Analytics Services Director develops and executes the Enterprise Data Ecosystem Platform Strategy, delivers enterprise data ecosystem tools and capabilities, and delivers data engineering and analytics solution services in support of 1LMX applications, all Business Area users, and all functions.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Tools and Platform

• Develops the overall Data platform strategy in partnership with Business Area, Functions, and Corporate stakeholders, as well as technology partners to deliver discriminating business value.

• Functions, as well as Technology Partners to build / work synergies and opportunities across the Data & Analytics community

• Develop, promote, and evolve Data Platform best practices, standards, and policies across Lockheed Martin.

• Rationalize the number, cost, and complexity of our data infrastructure/tools and work with strategic 3rd party vendors/partners to ensure strategic enterprise level agreements for future state standard tools

Data Engineering and Analytics Services

• Delivers Data Engineering Services for extraction, transformation and loading from source applications to the enterprise data lake house

• Delivers Analytics Solitons to functional or program stakeholders and users, (Dashboards, reports, algorithms, Data Products (views/tables))

• Builds and productionizes AI/ML capabilities and solutions in to the enterprise data ecosystems or coordinates the deployment with application teams

• Leadership of direct staff (Managers and Individual Contributors) along with matrixed staff in support of successful execution of all technical deliverables, project implementation activities, and sustainment operations.

• Collaborate across EBDT, Business Area Leadership and Stakeholders, Business Functions to manage the analytics solutions portfolio

Talent and Performance Management

• Builds highly effective, influential relationships with key Stakeholders.

• Successfully manages all aspects of resource planning and assignments. Ensures successful talent acquisition and staff augmentation of resources. Responsible for areas of education, training, and compliance to ensure the required critical skills are available and deployed as needed.

• Responsible for human resource administration and development (performance management, merit, Responsible for ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific informational technology deliverables; the overall program/project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirement. At the higher level, incumbents are instrumental in overall planning and selling of services.

• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of business fundamentals and the ability to relate them to business processes. Demonstrated management of a data or infrastructure portfolio in support of key business functions/processes.

• Experience ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific information technology deliverables, including the overall program/project plan, budget, structure, earned value, schedule and staffing requirement.

• Risk and Opportunity Management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to team across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others. Experience with accomplishing strategic Lockheed Martin Proprietary Information objectives, clearly communicating ideas, delivering instructions, and following through on actions.

• Human Resources / Workforce Management experience. Demonstrated experience planning skill and resource needs, ensuring that the needed skills and expertise are

assigned and applied to the program and providing accurate future staffing forecasts. Experience coordinating employee work assignments and recognition/disciplinary actions.

• Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) and Culture of Accountability leadership traits, ability to lead and work in teams, ability to work with applications and business personnel across LM.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of data tools and/or infrastructure.

• Demonstrated large scale enterprise deployments to diverse stakeholders.

• Demonstrated multi-BA stakeholder collaboration/negotiation in support of major system

deployments.

• Experience ensuring the overall health of the portfolio is in alignment with required Service Levels.

• Knowledge of architectural concepts, and strategies. Knowledge of EBDT processes and procedures, ensuring processes and procedures are correctly implemented over the program lifecycle. Experience leading adoption of new technologies or best practices in a large, complex, enterprise IT ecosystem. Knowledge/experience in Agile.

• Strong executive presentation and communication skills, ability to represent Business Transformation and Enablement on enterprise, business area, and industry initiatives.

• Experience communicating technical information to a non-technical audience. Strong collaboration and negotiation skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $180,000 - $300,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
