Event Management Analyst / Planner
Xcelerate Solutions is seeking an Event Management Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Office of Bombing Prevention (OBP) . In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing various organizational internal and interagency workshops, conferences, outreach, speaking, and exhibit events to explain and promote the value of the OBP mission, products, and services . Location:
Hybrid: Remote, Corporate Offices (Tysons), and periodic visits to government locations at 1310 N Courthouse Rd, Arlington VA & 1110 N Glebe Rd, Arlington VA
Clearance:
DHS Fitness Determination (Public Trust)
Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and participate in workshops, conferences, outreach, speaker, and exhibit events identified by you, the team, or the OBP leadership
Identify event requirements and logistics
Coordinate speaker and participation approvals, talking points, and presentations
Manage budget and payments for events
Coordinate equipment and material collection and shipping
Support the maintenance of event tracking / marketing websites and communi ques
Support the management of event identification and selection, including assessing the value and return on investment of agency participation
Develop assessments for future decision-making processes related to future events
Support the coordination and staff exhibition and engagement opportunities at Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) conferences and events
Plan, coordinate, and administer the annual Bombing Prevention Summit
Minimum Requirements:
Required: High School diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required: 5 + years’ experience in event planning and management
Required: Working knowledge of DHS and/or DoD conference planning policies (e.g., OCFO Financial Management Policy Manual Section 7.10.1, Conference Controls)
Desired: Ability to work in rapidly evolving environment managing multiple projects and tasks
Desired: Demonstrated ability to lead small teams in prioritizing and managing project delivery tasks
Clearance: Must possess or be able to obtain a DHS Fitness determination ( Public Trust)
