Position Summary:   The Academy's Member Insights Intern will work with the Strategy Catalyst research team to enhance our members' digital experience on our new website: https://hmacademy.com/. This role focuses on transforming our existing research library into a digital-first format using a content management system. The intern will apply standard processes to build web pages while critically assessing how to best present research to improve member engagement and experience.

This internship offers exposure to healthcare organization, financing, and delivery through our partnerships with major integrated health systems and innovative companies. It's well-suited for candidates with a background or interest in media and communications who are looking to gain practical experience at the intersection of healthcare research and digital content management. Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to quality in their work.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Review asynchronous training materials on our content management system (Contentful)

  • Apply processes learned to publish content on the new website

  • Accurately tag, title, and format new pages in the content management system

  • Demonstrate attention to detail in applying processes, including self-proofing and formatting

    Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Intern candidates are current students pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably entering their Senior or final year, respectively

  • Experience working on multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment is essential  

  • An interest in healthcare is a plus  

  • The intern will work 10-15 hours per week and a commitment of at least 3 months (with an opportunity for extension)

    Physical Demands:  

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, and distance vision. Ability to lift over 15lbs.

Compensation:

Pay is $15/hr
