Description We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This role is within the legal industry and will involve assisting with various tasks related to civil and commercial litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain client relations and communication, ensuring all inquiries are addressed in a timely and detail-oriented manner.

• Process customer credit applications accurately, in line with legal standards and regulations.

• Use legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and CompuLaw for efficient case management.

• Oversee calendar management and claim administration, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.

• Keep customer credit records accurate and up-to-date, adhering to data privacy and protection guidelines.

• Prepare and draft pleadings and discovery requests, ensuring all documents are in line with civil and commercial litigation standards.

• Manage complex litigation matters, applying knowledge in asbestos litigation, construction litigation, defense litigation, and more.

• Handle court filings and electronic files, using tools such as CM/ECF for efficiency and accuracy.

• Support litigation processes, including litigation holds and e-Discovery sessions.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as necessary, maintaining a balance between client satisfaction and legal compliance. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant

• Proficiency in Aderant and Adobe Acrobat

• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Experience with Case Management Software and CompuLaw

• Ability to handle Billing Functions and Calendar Management

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Strong skills in Client Relations and Communication

• Knowledge of Automated Civil Litigation (ACL)

• Experience in Civil Litigation, Civil Rights Litigation, and Commercial Litigation

• Familiarity with Complex Business Litigation, Complex Commercial Litigation, and Asbestos Litigation

• Experience in Complex Litigation and Construction Litigation

• Proficiency in Defense Litigation, Employment Litigation, and Insurance Defense Litigation

• Knowledge of Intellectual Property - Litigation

• Experience in various aspects of Litigation such as Civil, Class Action, Defense, Filing, Management, Plaintiff, Documents, Holds, Support, Processes, Practice, ParaLegal, Matters, Attorney, and Support Software

• Ability to Draft Pleadings, Legal Pleadings, and Preparing Pleadings

• Experience handling Discovery Requests, Discovery, Discovery Responses, Discovery Sessions, e-Discovery, Ediscovery, and Electronic Discovery

• Familiarity with Court Filing, Court Filings, CM/ECF, and Electronic File management.
