Red River Operations Voice Manager in Arlington, Virginia

Job Summary:

The Operations Voice Manager is a leadership role, focusing on overseeing the operations of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and telecommunications systems. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, over 10 years of experience in a similar role, and a Security Plus certification. The ideal candidate will possess a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and have extensive experience managing VoIP and telecommunications operations within a high-security environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operations and maintenance of VoIP and telecommunications systems, ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery.

  • Develop and implement strategies for the optimization and expansion of voice communications infrastructure to meet organizational needs.

  • Oversee the management of voice services, including system upgrades, patch management, and the integration of new technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards, particularly in managing systems that require TS/SCI clearance.

  • Coordinate with IT security teams to implement and maintain security measures for voice communications systems.

  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and overseeing the implementation of third-party solutions.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the voice operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Develop and manage the budget for voice communications operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, telecommunications, or a related field is required.

  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, with a focus on VoIP and telecommunications systems.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Security Plus certification is required.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP technologies, telecommunications systems, and related IT infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and the ability to apply them to voice communications systems.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team of IT professionals.

  • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party solutions.

Work Environment:

This position will be primarily on-site at the Pentagon Reservation, requiring strict adherence to security protocols. The Operations Voice Manager will work within secure facilities and must be able to handle sensitive information responsibly. The role may involve responding to urgent issues outside of standard working hours, necessitating a high degree of flexibility and commitment.
