Amazon Partner Migration Advisor, Public Sector Migrations in Arlington, Virginia

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) by engaging with key Public Sector System Integrator (SI) Partners and Managed Service Providers (MSP) who are reinventing their go-to-market strategy by delivering cloud computing solutions? Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) Migration team working with Federal Partners who are migrating workloads to AWS.

In this role you will be engaging with senior leaders to support Partners in migrating customers to AWS. As a Partner Migration Advisor, you will have the exciting opportunity to work with our Federal Partner Organization and directly with Partners, to build scalable motions to capture new migration opportunities, progress them towards closure, and ensure their successful delivery. In this role, you will establish deep business relationships with AWS partners to successfully drive the adoption of key Migration programs for Public Sector focused Partners. You will work very closely with the AWS Partner Management teams to drive joint sales engagement, as well as strategically plan for development of future opportunities and pursuits. Candidates should also have strong industry experience and demonstrated the ability to think and act strategically on the government customer mission, industry directions, and partner/customer technical challenges. This is a highly collaborative role, and will require you to engage with Partner Management leadership, Partner Managers, and customer teams to support day-to-day opportunities, and build scalable mechanisms to drastically grow the business.

The ideal candidate will bring both technical delivery and business development skills/interests to this position. They will have a combination of strong presentation skills, a proven record in operating and mechanizing scaled initiatives, experience interacting with stakeholders across teams, strong writing skills, a natural inclination to both articulate and deliver measurable outcomes. The candidate should have the ability to evaluate use cases, trends, patterns, and best practices that enable them to develop forward thinking initiatives. The candidate should be open to new challenges, strong at multi-tasking, self-direct in complex situations, and act as a team player. Candidates should drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. They should be able to

interact at the executive level and work with leaders across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector Partner Migration team, driving adoption of AWS Partner Migration Programs with Federal Partners.

  • Understand Partner business models and strategies, in order to advise/develop go-to-market motions to scale AWS migrations.

  • Cultivate relationships and meet regularly with key stakeholders, such as AWS Partners.

  • Set a strategic Partner territory plan for your target markets and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction.

  • Execute on 1:1 or many:1 enablement to Partners to support their growth and adoption of AWS Migration programs.

  • Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to assigned targets.

  • Recognize patterns/trends/gaps for Partners and either self-develop initiatives, or influence internal Program teams to address.

  • Understand and navigate Public Sector contracting vehicles and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience developing, implementing, managing and executing field programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • 5+ years of experience in technology transformation, with more recent experiences in cloud-led technology change program

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with Public Sector organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
