Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services Company, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master with an active Secret Clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. This is a Temporary opportunity.

The Scrum Master performs a variety of duties which will include continued overall analysis, review, and working of the various programs and requirements within the DISA HaCC (Hosting and Compute Center).

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Acts as the team lead in implementing an Agile framework, Lean-Agile development, and applying Lean-Agile in leadership. Lead multiple concurrent projects in Agile using the Scrum method and Agile processes.

  • Build different product types in the Agile framework.

  • Educate the team in the Agile core values, Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Planning, and other Agile processes. Assist teams in self-organizing and self-management to achieve Agile integration.

  • Lead meetings and ceremonies commonly associated with the Scrum Master role including but not limited to sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

  • Assist other Scrum Masters in Agile, while creating an environment for peak performance dynamics using relentless determination, continuous flows, improvements, while eliminating impediments. Assist others in Agile to effectively communicate, collaborate, and agree to meet goals.

  • Facilitate events for teams and support Product Owners in backlog grooming, expectations. Assume the responsibilities for building the Scrum Master Community of Practice.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Certified Scrum Master Certificate

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5+ years of experience including 3+years of specific Scrum Master experience

  • Must be proficient in project management and Agile task management tools, such as, but not limited to the Atlassian suite of products, Azure DevOps, Rational Team Concert, Rally, and ServiceNow

  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships.

  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating and executing strategic plans.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
