Amazon Senior Software Development Engineer, Devices Privacy and Trust in Arlington, Virginia

Description

This exciting role will involve designing and developing cutting-edge privacy infrastructure for our industry-leading devices and services. You'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the privacy experiences of millions of users worldwide.

The ideal candidate is passionate about improving the lives of customers through great technology. You have a track record of successfully delivering new and technically challenging products. You are entrepreneurial, comfortable operating with ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts. You are excited about creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance products with your sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large scale distributed systems. You have experience collaborating with other talented engineers to bring great ideas to life.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Arlington, VA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
